Let’s be honest, January really is a shit month. Yes there are some good things which start the year off, for example, the clothes sales, the whole ‘new year new me’ bullshit and of course all the chocolate left over from Christmas but thank heavens this month is nearly over. Now I don’t know about you, but where I live we have pretty much been getting awful weather. One week we had this freezing fog kinda thing where you couldn’t see a thing and it was so cold and icy. It made me feel like I was in the scene of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire when they are in the Quarter Quells and the killer mist emerges from the jungle, but instead, it was in the UK down my street. And then we have been getting downfalls of rain which just sucks (unless your warm and cosy in bed chilling). As my birthday is slowly creeping up, mum came up to me asking what I wanted. With all this crap weather it actually dawned on me that I don’t own a waterproof coat or anything with a hood. So that is what I asked for. I’m not quite sure how I’ve done it, but I’ve managed to leave the house several times wearing it, when in actual fact it should be wrapped up and ready for me to open on thursday for my birthday. May I add that mum has seen me wearing it too haha. Ah well, don’t mind an early birthday present!
So part from feeling like a pimp ass ghetto chick in this coat, which can I clarify is not the kind of vibe I want, I do actually really like this puffer. It is very puffy (no shit sherlock) and that was kind of off putting at first but after a while you kind of get used to having a cushiony/puffy/inflated upper half. The coat is of course from Topshop. It has currently gone down in price to £45 which I must say is a bargain and quite frankly a must have for this horrid weather. It is slightly worrying how many coats I own, but yet, that still doesn’t stop me from buying them. Anyone else have this problem? Haha!
If you haven’t gathered yet, ‘bell’ or “trumpet’ or ‘flared’ or whatever you want to call it kind of sleeves are very in for this upcoming spring season. Can guarantee you that any online website you go on, you will see them. You just can’t escape! I knew it would be sooner or later that I would jump on the bandwagon and wear the flare sleeves that just get caught on everything. I love plain simple colours, especially white and black. It was about time that I renewed some of my white jumpers as they are slowly dying and turning into more of a grey as I wear them so much. Okay I’ll admit that this jumper is more like an ivory colour and isn’t the most flattering shape, but I think that’s why I like it. Having the flared sleeves just makes it a little more different than the generic plain white jumper. The material is actually pretty good and it’s slightly ribbed which just adds more to it. It is £36 which I guess could be considered a lot for what it is, but think, it’s a perfect jumper for autumn, winter AND spring! Yay yay money well spent!
