To me, jumpsuits have always been I find a statement piece and quite frankly I have always stayed away from them. It’s not because I dislike them it is purely because I do not have the balls to wear them . Oh wait, I just grew some!!!! *Dances to myself*. I saw this jumpsuit on the Topshop website and as you can imagine, I wanted it. I put off buying it though for ages and ages only because I thought there is no point me trying to rock it with my height and many other reasons. But two of the girls at work also have this jumpsuit, so I kept seeing them wearing it and of course I kept thinking how cool they looked. I put my hand on my heart and admit, I do not look as cool as they do, but I wanted to try lol. Help me.
I am aware that it may possibly look slightly like I’ve just stolen a boiler suit off a random guy. I haven’t by the way. The colour is very similar, but if you ignore that thought and stop picturing me in a boiler suit then it’s actually a pretty cool jumpsuit. Like I said, I’ve always tried to stay away from jumpsuits because my height is just not cut out for them, but surprisingly, having to get the smallest size and rolling the legs up, I fits. YAY.
The only downside is that I haven’t actually found a jacket to wear with it yet. I tried my trustworthy Zara leather jacket and I wasn’t quite sure. I think it is mainly because I’m so used to wearing jeans (I basically live and die in jeans if you didn’t know) so I’m used to having slightly more fitted bottoms, rather than a baggy/slouch trouser on this jumpsuit. So sadly, I don’t think the ‘Slouch Jumpsuit’ will be coming out at all this Winter. For me, it is more for the warmer seasons and end of summer.
One thing this jumpsuit has taught me is that layering is very important. And it can actually look fashionable. I just teamed this with a crop thick wool jumper, but I know for a fact I could wear it with a polo neck which would look quite cute. And for spring I will be definitely be pairing it with my white distressed tee. Very excited.
My magnificent boots and my western belt were the right decisions to finish the outfit off. They are probably worn everyday because they truly are an essential to me. As most of you know, Black Friday is pretty much round the corner. I will be hunting the web for some bargains and if I buy a lot I will be sure to show you.
I am also very excited to tell you all that I will be doing 20 twenty days of Christmas. It’s pretty much the same to ‘blogmas’ but quite frankly I can’t come up with twenty four christmas themed blog post ideas that don’t actually suck. Majority of them include willy nilly things just to fill up the days to say you done blogmas? So instead, I’ve shortened it a little bit and it will be only twenty days of chirstmassy things that I hope you will enjoy reading.
As we are on the topic of Christmas, I would just like to put out there that it is only 32 days till christmas. Let the panic begin.
