As a little treat, my boyfriend and I booked a trip to London. I’ve never been to London this time of the year and for the biggest christmas fan, I think it was about time that I went! We left early saturday morning and spent about four hours travelling up. All was fine, part from we got on the complete wrong tube and ended up in the opposite direction that we need to be lol. Buuuttt we figured it out, dropped our bags off at our hotel and then made our way to Oxford Street. Jeez louise was it full of people. Going at Christmas time I knew I was setting myself up for trouble but the streets were honestly packed. We didn’t really do much shopping as we arrived around lunch time and kind of just went to the main shops. I.e Topshop, Bershka, H&M, Pull & Bear and Primark.
Unfortunately we weren’t too lucky with the weather. We got soaked. Which was rather annoying after spending about forty minutes curling my hair in the morning for it then to get ruined and stupidly we didn’t think about bringing umbrellas. By this time it was already dark, pouring with rain and impatiently trying to find Pull and Bear along the street, I got pulled into this little cafe place by Eli. It was covered in ice creams in every flavour imaginable and tons of sweets. And the place smelt of fresh waffles and crepes. HEAVEN. So we cold, tired and hungry and bought this beast. It is a crepe covered with crushed oreos, chopped bananas and drizzled with nutella source. WTF never tasted anything so amazing.
It was like eight pounds for this crepe and you know, that is a little pricey but when in London and around christmas time, your allowed to buy what you want no matter what the price! 😉
Topshop was obviously a very successful trip. Probably spent about two and a half hours in there, which actually isn’t that bad!!!! But the streets were beautiful. NO where does christmas lights better than London I’m telling ya now! They certainly do not disappoint. The shops don’t close till nine in the evening which is so late for me due to where I live everything shuts at half five haha. Eli and I just couldn’t last that long though. With all the travelling in the morning and trying not scream our heads off at all the slow dilly dally people, we decided to call it a day around six. We got the tube back to our hotel and picked up a Mcdonalds on the way and ate that in bed whilst watching tv. Perfect evening to a busy day.
