Today was the first day that it actually felt cold and that winter is coming. It’s been on and off pouring it down with rain constantly, so when it stopped for ten minutes I rushed outside as fast as I could to take these pictures. The indecisive weather also caused different lightings for each picture so I do apologise in advance.
At work yesterday (I work at Topshop if you don’t know), a customer had returned this dress and it was marked down to five pounds in the sale. I was unbelievably happy when I saw that it was my size and quickly nabbed it before anyone else did. I love the fact that it can be layered during winter time and then in summer I can wear it as a cami slip dress. *very happy thumbs up face*. I’m really loving midi dresses at the moment because they can be so versatile. As I’m quite short I always stayed away from them because I didn’t think that they would do me any favours but I’ve completely fallen in love and want to buy more. Unfortunately the dress and grey top are unavailable but there are very similar ones all over the internet.
For example:

One thing that I think is very important in life is to be happy. There’s always the quotes flying around saying ‘lifes too short’ or ‘live everyday to its fullest’ etc etc etc I could go on. I understand that it is so much more easier said than done. Every person has off days. Some days they are happy and then others something goes wrong and that ruins the mood. That is okay. But we have to remember that we always have the next day to make up for it and to see life on the positive side.
My biggest competitor was myself. I used to get so down about how I looked and then that would effect my mood and outlook on life. There are tons of things that I dislike about myself, don’t panic, I’m not going to bore you to death and tell you them all, but what I never came to terms with was that this is me. This is my body/face that I will have for the rest of my life and the things I dislike about myself are never going to change unless I pay crazy amounts of money to have surgery. (Which will never happen). But I have realised that life is actually so short. Who knows what will happen within the next 24 hours?! The things you don’t like someone else probably loves. They are what make you as an individual. Learn to love yourself and be kind to other people and feel confident in everything you do. Not everyone realises how powerful they actually are and how such small things can change your mood. Start looking in the mirror and think ‘fck yeah my make up looks good today’ or that your outfit looks amazing. Tiny things like that will show off confidence. It may not be a huge amount of confidence but it’s a small bit. And trust me, seeing someone confident and happy within themselves is the best type of beauty.
Have fun and do silly things that you wouldn’t normally do. Learn to not care what other people think. Learn to be kinder to yourself.
