Tattoos
Happy Sunday you lovely people. On this fine Sunday we have been hit by Storm Ciara and to be honest, it is blowing a right hooley out there. I’m sat on the sofa with a hot chocolate writing this blog post so it could be worse I guess. One thing that always get asked in my Instagram Q&As is the meanings of my tattoos, how many I have or what piercings have a got. So of course, I thought why not do a post about them all where I can go into full detail and ramble on for as long as I want.
So to start things off, I currently have 10 tattoos and they are all on my arms. I also have two more booked in March which I will upload pictures of on my Instagram and will most likely do a blog post. At the moment, I’m not entirely keen about getting tattoos anywhere else on my body as I really love the look of them on my arms but who knows, in the future that may change. The style that I like and think that suits me best is the dainty line drawing tattoos. Personally, I’m not particularly a fan of the traditional style and I just prefer symbolic/small designs. I love all my tattoos and want them to be seen so when it comes to placement, I don’t necessarily find spots where they will be hidden. I have got all my tattoos done on the Isle of Wight (my old hometown) and continue to get them done there as I have found a tattoo artist that I trust and genuinely like. Majority of my most recent tattoos are done by Alice and you can find her Instagram here. I have never had any issues with healing but everyone is different so you may differ.
The Water-Bearer Symbol
I have this little tattoo on the back of my left arm above my elbow. It is the symbol for the Aquarius Zodiac Sign – the Water-Bearer. The meaning for getting this one is because I am an Aquarius and just purely thought it looked quite cool. I really love the placement of this tattoo because I think it looks sick when wearing t-shirts. It’s quite simple and rustic looking, but yeah I’m very happy with it.

The Eye
Unfortunately the eye has no meaning but I just really liked the design and just decided to get it.

The Text
So the text on my arm may not be the most readable but it says “focus on the positive”. As I am a very negative person and always focus on the bad rather than the good, I wanted to get a tattoo which was a small reminder to myself to try and see the good in life a little more. The font is in my own hand writing which makes it more personal. When designing this, I knew I wanted it to be joint together and a little bit like a scribble if that makes sense? Some parts of the tattoo didn’t really come out as well as I wanted them to but I don’t mind too much.
The Triangle
As I mentioned before, I am an Aquarius baby and the triangle is the symbol for the element ‘Air’ which Aquarius is. The placement of this is another good one because when standing straight on it is very visible and clear.
The ‘C’
As you can probably guess, the ‘C’ is for Chloe, which if you haven’t gathered, that’s my name haha. Quite a few people say it looks like a little moon which to be honest, I don’t really mind lol. I don’t really know why I wanted the initial of my first name but it’s cute and I like how small it is.

The Roman Numerals
The two dates in Roman Numerals are the birthdays of my Nan and Grandad. I love my grandparents with all my heart and I wanted something that meant them but I was stuck for a while on what to get. I then decided to get this design because in my eyes, two of the most incredible and best people were born into this world on those dates. And then I just got in Roman Numerals because it looked cool.

The Flower Hand
As you can see, I’ve got a little hand holding a bunch of flowers. There is no meaning for this tattoo apart from the fact it was free as the guy was an apprentice. This is probably my least favourite out of all of mine, but it has some funny memories attached to it so I will never regret getting it done.
The Cheese Plant Leaf
This one is my favourite. I absolutely love plants and just knew that I wanted a leaf tattooed on me somewhere and I just thought the cheese plant leaf looked the coolest, plus I love cheese plants and I have a big one in the flat which is like my little baby so haha. This one kind of curves around my forearm which looks sick when wearing t-shirts etc.

The Cross
The little cross is on my left wrist and basically means Eli. He has the ‘O’ to match and it means hugs and kisses. Eli has his tattoo on his right wrist so when we hold hands they touch. I love the meaning of the tattoo but I think it was done really badly. I just hate how one part is thicker than the other lines and a bit blobby. Ah well.
The Numbers
These numbers mean my Mum, Sister and my Dad. Looking at them they just look like a line of numbers, I know, but it means the number 12, 13 and 15. So basically the easiest way to explain is that my mum’s birthday is 12th September, my sister’s is the 13th May and my dad’s is the 15th November. At the time I didn’t want their full birthday dates so I just decided to get the number of the first date and I randomly decided to just get them in a line.
Piercings
Now piercings! I stand by the fact that I think piercings are so much more painful than tattoos, hence why I don’t really have many. I have 7 piercings in total and would love to get more but I’m too much of a wuss haha. It has taken me years to get to where I am now purely because I don’t handle the pain very well and would rather spend the money on tattoos. Again, all my piercings I got done on the Isle of Wight when I was living back at home. I am yet to find a good place in Brighton where I feel comfortable to more piercings.
My Right Ear.
Starting from the top, I have my cartilage pierced. From what I can remember, this one didn’t really hurt too much. For this one I am just wearing a plain sterling silver hoop which I got from ASOS.
Next is just a gold cuff from Ania Haie. I would love to have some more piercings in my cartilage but like I mentioned, I’m too scared to make that happen so a little ear cuff fills that gap quite nicely I think.
I then have 3 lobe piercings. The third lobe piercing (the one nearest the ear cuff) my mum actually pierced for me when she did her piercing course. I have a very funny story for when she did that which I won’t be sharing right now haha.
My Left Ear.
Sounds weird, but this is definitely my favourite ear haha. From the top again, I have a forward helix piercing. I’m just wearing another sterling silver hoop from ASOS.
I then have my scaffold which I flipping LOVE. This just recently got changed into a gold bar and I’m so happy with how it looks. This one was a bitch to heal and was really painful haha but was definitely worth it.
To fill the empty space I just wear a sterling silver ear cuff which is from ASOS. Eventually I would love to swap that one out for a gold one.
And then lastly it is of course my other lobe piercing.
I have also done a Youtube Video about my Tattoos and Piercings which you can find below!
