We woke up pretty early, got ready quickly and left the hotel room. Luckily we had already planned what we wanted to do and had google maps in our hands so we were ready to take on the day. We stayed in Earls Court which I think was a really pretty part of London. It was quite clean/tidy and had those big pretty white buildings everywhere with the pillars. We explored for a bit, wondering down random streets that we thought looked cool and then we were getting peckish. We found a cute cafe and sat outside in the sun, which by the way wasn’t actually that warm and I was still freezing my ass off. Eli had a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast gap thing which tasted amazing apparently and I had two poached eggs which look like boobies.
The Natural History Museum was surprisingly busy. I don’t know why but I just didn’t think that it would be a thing that everyone wants to go to but oh how I was wrong haha. It had the ice rink outside and a carrousel which made it feel festive and obviously that was attracting a lot of people but we had to wait about twenty minutes until we could get in. The queue just seemed to be getting longer and longer as the morning went on.
The last time I went to the Natural History Museum was when I was in middle school in year seven soooo roughly thinking I would have been about twelve years old. It was for a school trip so we only had a limited amount of time there so we were split into three or four groups to then go off and explore the areas separately. But we all know when that happens on school trips we aren’t actually going to get a chance to see everything. So it was really nice to go back and see all the things I had forgotten etc. If I’m being honest, I got bored within the first half an hour but obviously I didn’t want to say anything to Eli because he seemed to be having the time of his life haha.
So after about an hour and a half, Eli had had enough (praise the lord) and we left. We had planned to go to Winter Wonderland that afternoon around three so we had like two hours to kill. Going in the wrong direction twice, we finally found Harrods. What is the massive deal with Harrods? Yes it looks pretty in the dark with all the lights but my god inside was horrible. It was crammed with people just dilly dallying and wondering around carelessly. The staff were extremely rude, unapproachable and seemed to come across as stuck up. And you can’t buy anything in there because it’s all so fricken overpriced!!!!! Harrods shopping trip lasted about fifteen minutes, or maybe even less.
Then we took upon this huge mission to try and find Brandy Melville. Which took us god knows how long. But we found it! But also bought nothing so half an hour wasted haha. By this point we were lacking energy and getting pissed at other people so we need some food inside us. Eli spotted Joe & The Juice across the road and we just thought yep that’ll do. Hot Damn is their juices good! Best decision ever to go in there.

WINTER WONDERLAND
Winter Wonderland… ahhhhhh!!!! Possibly my most favourite place? Ever? If your a massive fan of festivals where you love the vibe of music and the lights and something always going on then your sorted. This place is literally like a music festival just minus all the drugs, skimpy outfits, camping tents and hardcore music and replace it with christmas music, christmas markets, winter coats and a shit load of rides. It IS the perfect place for a person who loves festivals and is obsessed with Christmas. What a better way to make everyone spend tons of money and feel festive.
If you do plan on going this year or thinking of going next year then definitely book your tickets online in advance. We turned up to the entrance and not even kidding there was a massive crowd of 250+ people waiting to get it. This crowd was moving pretty slowly too as they were doing bag checks. BUT if you have booked tickets online then you literally walk past next to big crowd feeling pretty smug, get your bag checked and walk straight in. Maximum time we had to wait was probably two minutes? So be organised and miss the big crowd.
We bought tickets for the big wheel and ice skating. For everything all together is only cost about fifty pounds, so twenty five pounds each isn’t too bad for place like this where you may not experience it again. The wheel was good. You do have to share a pod with other people depending on how big your group is which is annoying but ah well. The view is incredible, especially when it is dark and all lit up. But holy shit did he go high. Eli and I just looked at each other in complete fear haha. The ice skating was so fun as well. Sucks if you can’t skate very well and fall on your bum twice in front of everyone but hey ho it had to be someone. Quite a few people were holding onto the sides and shuffling along at their own pace but nah Eli got pretty confident and wanted to get out there so he pretty much dragged me along and guided me. Was a great bonding moment haha.
If you are a food lover then I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed. They probably have every stall you could think of. My favourite place was the Barvarian Village where it had the wooden buildings and flooring with live music and the big pint glasses of beer. Very ‘German market’ kinda feel to it.
But uh loved it. I really really would recommend going if you haven’t been. There is something for everyone there to keep them happy!
