At the beginning of December I travelled up to Brighton to stay with Eli for a few days and to try and get in the Christmassy spirit. The weather was rather foul and wet but we saw loads of lights and even started our Christmas shopping. Well, I say that we started but in actual fact, on the first day we just bought things for ourselves and then the second day I bought two gifts. So rather unsuccessful and behind on the gift shopping this year… oops! A part from the disappointing effort with the present buying, it was so lovely to see Eli again and spend some time with him. For the past three years I used to spend December getting excited with Eli and doing Christmassy things but obviously he’s at uni so it’s a little different this year, therefore I’m glad I did go up to see him but I just don’t feel as festive this year unfortunately. :(. But trust me, I am trying everything I can to change that! I am wearing xmas pjs, listening to my christmas playlist almost everyday and doing a lot of christmas shopping online (because I’ve left it really late this year but shh!!!).
The weekend in Brighton consisted of drinking a lot of hot chocolates and coffee, mooching around shops and cosying up by the fire in a big tipi tent. Yah you heard me, a tipi tent. If you are in Brighton at all this month, then go check out Thor’s Tipi as it is so amazing and a really nice chilled vibe. Eli had a Guinness and of course, I had a Christmas drink – The Gingerbread Hot Chocolate. Son of a nutcracker it was amazing. I also got marshmallows and cream which just made it even more perfect. We were lucky and got the seats by the fire and we spent ages just sat there talking. :) One may even say it was the perfect evening lol.
